Sneak Peak of My Little Girls Room

My favorite things about blogs is when they have tours of their own homes. I get excited when I find a new blog that I like and they have the button to click on "house tour". I have been dying to do a blog post about my house since we bought our house in May, but unfortunately I do not have one room totally done, a lot of rooms almost done, but not blog post ready...lol.

My daughters room is almost done, I am just looking for a few things to add to her room, then it will be complete!!! I have a before and after of a cute lingerie dresser that I redid for her room. The pictures aren't the best, but I think it looks pretty cute in her room.

I knew I wanted french provincial furniture in her room since I saw this kind of furniture, I am doing her room shabby chic, so this is the perfect furniture for that. So I let my mom know what I was looking for and she came back from one of her adventures with this...I was sooo excited!!!

Here is the after...

I painted it with a left over blue I had, I thought the color worked with her shabby chic room. I distressed it just a little bit to add a little character. I left the original hardware and just gave them a really good scrubbing. I think by leaving the hardware alone gave it a vintage look.

Hopefully soon I will have more "house tour" posts...
Thank you for check out our blog we really appreciate it!!!

Fund Raiser for your birthday!

Hello everyone!!! We just got done with the Banbury Art Crawl for 2014 and it was a huge success. We had over 4,800 people walk through the building in two days!!! It was awesomely crazy!!!! For hours at a time we could hardly walk in our little shop. Can't wait for next year!!! Thank you to everyone that came to support us!!!

I think since the art crawl there has been this unspoken excitement between all the shops/studios. We are really excited about the Banbury Building and want to do great things to promote shopping there and get the word out that this is a cool place in Eau Claire to shop.

We had a new store come into Banbury called Whippersnappers, and the other day one of the workers asked if we wanted to be part of a fundraiser called Fierce Freedom. It's about human trafficking. (You can learn more about it here fiercefreedom.org.) So right away we said of course!!! An amazing lady named Joyce wants to raise money for her birthday! So instead of gifts/cards, etc... she wants her friends to shop at the banbury shops to raise money for a great cause.

So together with Whippersnappers, O2Ex3LLCCrafts, SandysClothingandArt, C Design interior and textiles, J Barlow Art Studio, Upstairs Vintage Wares, and Sweet and Savory, we will be donating 20% of all the sales we make that day!

So if you are local please shop on March 1st from 10-3.

White Dresser

UPDATE...I FOUND A BEFORE PICTURE!!!

This piece is one of our very first dressers we got, it has been buried in my mom's garage for almost a year. We got it at an auction. Of course my mom painted it white...lol. I don't think we would have any other color furniture in our shop if it wasn't for me. My mom likes white. She usually asks me what color to paint a new of furniture, I tell her a color and then she paints it white...lol. White is always classic :)

This beautiful piece sold right away. The lady is using it for her TV stand. I just love when furniture is used for something else then what it is "suppose" to be used for. I really like the look a dressers for TV stands. My mom painted the exterior white and left the top and drawers original wood. Some of the hardware was missing on the dresser, so we just added some new knobs and the top two are original.

Pastel Green and White Dresser

Hello! It's been awhile since a before and after.  We have been open more than normal for the holidays, so we have been pretty busy. Here is a dresser that we got off of craigslist. This was an interesting craigslist find. They were actually selling everything out of the house, so we scored a lot of neat items at one time, we left with a truck load :)

Here is the before...

Here is the after...The pictures aren't in the best lighting...
I painted it with a light green (can't think of the color name) and painted the drawers in white (parchment paper is the name of the color). The pulls on the piece were all different and some were broken so I changed them out.

Thanks for checking out our blog! Also Thank you to all our fans! We have hit over 600 "likes" on our Face Book page. I would have never imagined how far we have come from a year ago!!! Thank you all so much!!!
